Voting
Voting is free. You'll see two landing pages side by side — click the one you think is better. That's it.
You can vote without an account. Creating one saves your progress and shows you on the judges leaderboard.
There's no right answer, and you don't need to be a designer. We want your gut reaction, because that's what a real visitor gives a landing page.
Entering your page
$10 enters one page for 50 matchups against other entered pages. When the 50 are used, you can pay again for 50 more on the same page — rating and win–loss stay. Pages behind the pack are more likely to appear, against anyone still entered. If two or more pages are tied for the throne, they enter a playoff: lose a matchup and you're out, until one page remains. Those playoff votes count twice on the judges leaderboard.
Paying $10 does not create an account. Sign up is free and only needed to save your voting progress.
Entries are final. No refunds once your page is entered.
When a batch of 50 is used up, you'll get a report: your rating, your rank, and which pages you beat and lost to. Want another 50 on the same page? That's another $10. Fix the page first — that's the point.
How ranking works
Every page starts at a rating of 1500. The number itself is just a starting point. Only the gap between two pages matters.
Win a matchup and your rating goes up. Lose and it goes down. Beating a stronger page gains more than beating a weaker one. The loser drops the same amount you gain. A gap of 1000 points or more is worth the maximum: 50 points.
| If you beat a page that is | You gain |
|---|---|
| Even (same rating) | 10 |
| 1–250 points stronger | 20 |
| 251–500 points stronger | 30 |
| 501–750 points stronger | 40 |
| 751–1000+ points stronger | 50 |
| 1–250 points weaker | 5 |
| 251–1000+ points weaker | 0 |
This means you can't climb by getting lucky with easy opponents, and buying more matchups doesn't buy you a better rank — it just measures your page more accurately.
The highest-rated page holds the throne. A page needs at least 20 matchups before it appears on the leaderboard, because ratings are unreliable before that. Pages with the same rating share a place — any number can tie for first, second, third, and so on. Each tied page still has its own row. If a lot share a place, the leaderboard shows eight of them and how many more. When pages are tied for the throne, they play a knockout: loser is out, winner stays, until one page is left. Each of those votes counts as two for the voter. See Tie-breakers.
The throne is recognition. There's no cash prize for holding it.
Judges leaderboard
Vote without an account, or create one to save your progress and appear on the judges leaderboard. No payment required.
The leaderboard ranks judges by vote count each month. A public display name is optional. Your email is not shown.
Create an account on the judges page: email, password, confirm the email. Free.
Teardowns
A teardown is a written review of your landing page, delivered within 48 hours. It covers your matchup record, the 3 things most likely losing you customers with a fix for each, the order to make those fixes in, and 2 rewritten headline options. See a sample.
What we won't accept
Adult content, gambling, crypto token promotion, scams, and private chat or invite links are not allowed. We screen the URL and the page text before you pay, and known hosts are blocked automatically.
The fine print
We show your page publicly and link to it. If you don't want that, don't enter.
Some landing pages were added by us so voting has something to compare. They are labeled We added this to judge. The company didn't submit it. Those companies did not pay, sign up, or endorse bluntrank. This is just to get things off the ground — as people enter their own pages, these will gradually be phased out. If you own one of those sites and want it removed, email hello@bluntrank.com. We take it down the same day.
You can only enter a page you control: the email at checkout must be on that site's domain (northshore.example needs @northshore.example). Pages we already added for judging cannot be bought by someone else.
Screenshots are captured when you enter. If you change your page afterward, the screenshot doesn't update — enter again to be judged on the new version.
Ratings, ranks, and reports come from real people comparing your page to someone else's. Each batch is 50 strangers. Good luck.
